Sevierville is Becoming The Place To Come To!

Several major projects are changing the face of the City of Sevierville!

The city opened a new EVENTS CENTER in 2007 and WILDERNESS RESORT opened a new hotel to serve that facility in June. New condominiums are being built across from the Events Center. Along with these a huge water park is being built to accompany them. This water park has inside and outside swimming pools and lazy rivers. It is for the guests of Wilderness Resorts so why not come and stay a while!

The only interstate exit in the county, Exit 407, is also experiencing major growth. Since the 2005 opening of Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, several other businesses have opened in the area, and work has started on Dumplin Creek, a major retail development that runs alongside Interstate 40.

Sevierville is the county seat and has the largest population of any municipality with more than 13,000 residents.

Like the county, the city is named for John Sevier, the first governor. It is the eighth oldest city in the state, founded in 1795 and incorporated in 1901.

The courthouse and much of downtown Sevierville are on the National Register of Historic Places. We would love to have you come and visit our city!
